Written by: Mark Czysz Date: September 24th, 2002 ![]() I'm about as involved and enthusiastic as a customer could be about this product. Been to the factory for a tour and tech school, through my dealership as I do some outside sales and promotion for the C'Dales. What a coincidence, Bugman and I are both #18 on C'440's. Here's my review of the product: GREAT!!! So far, I've got about 45 hrs. of racing harescrambles, MX's, and lots of practice. My lap times have decreased on the MX track because of my increased cornering speed. In the words of the infamous Roach, "this thing gobbles up single track". Not only on the track but in the woods. I am most impressed with the tractibility. Hill climbs seem to be less of a challenge, off cambers and roots are also no match for the Ohlins and Michelin combination, straight from the factory. I think the one thing most people dont take into consideration is that if you add DID rims, bulldog spokes, and Talon hubs to any other production bike, you have surpassed the cost of a Cannondale allready. All of the other components are top-notch as well. We have three C'Dales here at Team Krusty Racing. An 02' C-440, 02' E-440, and an 03' X-440. Over 40 hrs and zero failures. I have five two-stroke bikes in the garage , all 99 and newer, collecting dust looking for new owners. I love a four-stroke and I know this is the bike for me!!!! We will be sending in our pics and race reviews as we are on an eighteen week sabbatical right now of MX and Harescrambles. We run District 13&29 MX and NC and VA Harescrambles. Plenty of action down here. Mark Czysz
