Written by: PJ Crouch Date: November 23rd, 2002 First Impressions: I feel lucky, how many people have access to two Cannondale quads? I was able to ride a Moto and a Cannibal back to back. The Moto is quite a machine. The suspension sucks up whatever you can throw at it. Big bumps, rain ruts, small tree roots, they all are swallowed by the Ohlins. I don't know how much difference there is in the mapping between the two bikes but they are perfect for the tires they are equipped with. The holeshots are very interesting they make the bike want to drive forward you have to commit to a slide but once the tires are sliding they are very controllable. The power starts early and pulls strongly to a shrieking top end. The free flowing exhaust really seems to allow the Moto to shine in the upper revs. A recreational rider can have just as much fun on a Cannibal until the your eyes start watering then the Ohlins and wider a- arms allow you to hit anything in your path. When we get this thing out to Dove Springs over Thanksgiving, I think I will have more to write. Mufflerman
